LIMITED OPPORTUNITY TO PHOTOGRAPH A WATERFOWL SPECTACLE!

20110117-canvasbacks8-2 We have a great location to photograph winter waterfowl up close and personal. The actual location will be disclosed in your registration package, but it will be along Maryland’s Eastern Shore region, famous for harboring waterfowl throughout the cold weather months.

This workshop will be very limited in people so that we can all participate in close-up, water-level opportunities to capture such wary birds as Canvasback and Redhead along with many other species… all present in great numbers. Flight shots in the golden light of sunrise and sunset, backlit splashes and eye catching portraits will all be explored and captured!

Evenings will offer instruction and discussion.

You will need a willingness to get muddy and a desire to have fun. Patience will pay off with stunning images!

Note: We will not ignore other wildlife events in the area and will keep abreast of activities of Short-eared Owls that have been reported nearby as well other raptors!

  • Workshop Cost

    • 2013 Cost

    $1400 per person from (details to be disclosed to registrants only - Philadelphia or Baltimore are closest airports to Maryland's Eastern Shore)

     

    Price is per person, double occupancy and includes accommodations, local transportation and some meals.

     

    If a single room is preferred, a single supplement fee of $100 will be added.

     

    Included in tour cost

    Accommodations, airport transfers, local transportation, breakfasts (continental breakfast at hotel), photo instruction, final night dinner.

     

    Not included

    Flights, lunches and most dinners, phone calls, laundry or other costs of a purely personal nature or not specifically mentioned as included.

  • Itinerary

    • Day 1

    Arrival and transfer to hotel

     

    Day 2 - 4

    In the field pre-dawn (sunrise @ 6:55am) to mid-morning and after lunch to-sunset (sunset @ 5:45pm) at one or two locations, depending upon conditions.

     

    Evenings will offer instruction and discussion.

     

    Day 5

    Return home

  • Accommodations

    • Standard US Hotel/motel in area.

  • Additional Info

    • This will be cold weather, so be prepared with the proper clothing of synthetics and Gore-Tex type fabrics plus good quality chest waders.
