About Gajendra Singh

Gajendra Singh highlights the birds, wildlife and culture of India on our “Tigers and Taj Tour.” He began training as a guide at Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur, in 1999, and became especially interested in birds after seeing Dusky Eagle-owl. Gajendra is a licensed naturalist and nature guide, and a certified culture guide in Rajasthan.

As an active member of the Life Line Nature Society, Gajendra participates in multiple wildlife programs and censuses for pythons, waterfowl, and Sarus Cranes. He shares his passion for nature with local school students.

Gajendra especially likes wading birds and shorebirds, including woodcocks, godwits, curlews and phalaropes; his favorite bird is Greater Painted-snipe. He says Keoladeo is one of the best birding parks with a large variety of resident and migratory species that are accessible for visitors exploring on foot or by rickshaw. Outside Bharatpur, he enjoys exploring Desert National Park to see endangered species among the variety of wildlife.

A graduate of the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, Gajendra enjoys photography, music, and bird-watching. His well-rounded knowledge of wildlife and friendly, creative personality make him a wonderful part of our wildlife tours in India.
