Robert R. Fletcher

Robert started photographing professionally in January 1970. His early years were photographing weddings for Bonnie’s Studio in Orange, Calif., shooting with medium format Hasselblad cameras. He eventually opened his own studio in Corona, Calif., in 1980.

In 1996, Robert started using the Kodak / Canon hybrid digital cameras and was hooked on digital photography immediately. In 1999 he started working for Canon USA as a “stringer,” now known as a “freelancer.” That relationship continues to this day.

After photographing approximately 3,250 weddings over a 43-year career, Robert retired from weddings in order to spend more time teaching photo classes and leading photo workshops.  He currently spends most of his time working for Canon USA, teaching and leading photo workshops of his own and for Hunt’s Photo & Video, but he still occasionally likes to photograph family and friends’ weddings and family portraits.
