Jenkins Arboretum

This morning I joined the Philadelphia Garden Club on a photography outing to the Jenkins Arboretum in Devon, PA. I had not been there in many years, and in fact, they had been closed for the past 3 years for construction of a new visitor center. I forgot to photograph the new building, however, as the color of many blossoms were a bit distracting.
Azalea
Red ColumbineThe rain was kind to us and held off during our photo session. The soft, overcast light along with the wet leaves and blossoms offered some good photo opportunities. I highly recommend a visit as soon as possible to enjoy the color!
Great White Trillium
All photos taken with Canon 30D and Sigma 18-200 OS on a tripod. For the extreme close-ups I added a Kenko 25mm extension tube.
