Highlights of YELLOWSTONE WOLVES AND WILDLIFE
Description of YELLOWSTONE WOLVES AND WILDLIFE
Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho, too. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It’s also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.
June in Yellowstone is alive with young animals exploring and learning. Bear cubs tumble romp as they follow momma around, learning her ways of survival while rusty-red bison calves kick up dust in play fights. Spring wildflowers add a splash of color to the landscape as the late-season snow continues to melt away.
Wolves are always secretive and we will be hopeful each day for the prospect of finding one of the packs on a hunt. We know the locations and will visit each one for our best chances of success!
