About Wildside Workshops

Since 1993, Wildside Nature Tours has been offering quality worldwide wildlife adventures. Our dedicated, enthusiastic leaders are as excited about your trip as you! We have done extensive ‘hands on’ research into many different areas of the regions we visit, in order to offer you the best opportunity and safest experience for birding, photography and nature exploration.

Our groups are small, typically about 8 – 10 people. Group size varies from trip to trip—our Galápagos tour maximum is just 15 while the Alaska cruise is only 8. Most larger groups have two leaders to keep the client to guide ratio low. Expect a truly personal experience with minimum impact on our environment!

We choose our accommodations wisely, preferring to stay close to the wildlife. We use locally owned and operated “green” accommodations wherever possible, many of which are part of environmental organizations or sanctuaries.

Tour prices are per person, based on double occupancy and include the following unless otherwise noted in itinerary:

• All trip materials, custom bird/wildlife checklist, packing checklist, detailed daily itinerary, recommended reading list and much more

• All services of the leaders and guides

• All accommodations during tour dates

• All transportation upon arrival in destination city

• All entrance fees to sanctuaries, parks and other sites

• All meals are included on international tours, typically from breakfast on the first full day through breakfast on the last full day (tours within the USA vary… see itineraries for details)

Tour prices DO NOT include the following unless otherwise noted in each trip itinerary: Rount-trip airfare, passport/visa fees, departure taxes, immunizations, baggage fees, optional excursions, single supplement fees, telephone calls, alcoholic beverages, laundry, room service, souvenirs, and anything of a purely personal nature. Be sure to review individual itineraries for all details. Itineraries are available on our website or may be obtained by calling our office.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Wildside supports many local educational and environmental protection efforts worldwide, financially or otherwise. We encourage participants to bring a small donation of educational supplies, binoculars or field guides to be given to schools, novice guides and sanctuaries, as appropriate.

KIDS IN NATURE
Our leaders created the PA Young Birders Club because we enjoy working with children. Many Wildside trips are appropriate for kids age 12 and older with an interest in nature, learning and new experiences. Parents must be responsible for their child’s behavior at all times, with no group disruptions.

NOTICES
Tour costs, itineraries and dates subject to change. Prices may be affected by international currency exchange rates, fuel costs or itinerary changes. Visit our web site for the latest updates. We are not responsible for typographical errors.
