Highlights of GLACIER NATIONAL PARK: Nature Journaling Workshop
Description of GLACIER NATIONAL PARK: Nature Journaling Workshop
Explore Glacier National Park with artist and naturalist Catherine Hamilton, and get excited about the creative process while surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in North America. Immerse yourself in Glacier National Park, and get your artistic juices flowing!
Glacier National Park, known as the Crown Jewel of the National Park System, sits astride the Continental Divide in northwestern Montana. While hiking, visitors to Glacier are treated to countless mountain peaks, alpine lakes and glaciers, and astounding displays of wildflowers. Wildlife abounds in the park and sightings of bears, mountain goats and bighorn sheep are regular. The scenery in the park is beautiful, and the sunrises/sunsets during the long summer days are spectacular.
Length of Tour
Day 1 – Arrive in Kalispell / Drive to Glacier Park
Upon arrival, we will board our vehicle and depart for Glacier National Park, arriving at our lodge in time for dinner. After dinner we will have an orientation to the park and our trip, plus a brief introductory discussion to prepare for the next morning.
Day 2 – Introduction to Glacier Park / Sun Road
Today’s excursions will allow time to become acclimated to our surroundings, gaining a familiarity with the images the park will present to us over the next few days. Each evening we will have discussions on locations and technique to prepare for the next day’s opportunities.
Day 3 – 6
Each day while in the park we will visit different locations to be determined by weather and wildlife activity. Although we have locations in the park we like to visit regularly, deciding which day of the itinerary to do so, long before the trip, would not be wise.
Locations may include, but will not be limited to…

*Accommodations and local transportation during workshop included. Transportation to/from workshop is not included.
