About Eric Rock

Eric Rock is a leading travel and nature photographer who discovered his passion for photography early. At sixteen years of age, he purchased his first camera and began exploring the natural world.  While studying Wildlife Biology at the University of Alaska, he used that passion to expand his skills through work as an assignment photographer and teaching assistant in the School of Journalism.  With these skills in hand, Eric went on to begin his guiding career as head naturalist at Kantishna Roadhouse in Alaska’s Denali National Park – a perfect location to explore nature with a camera.  From there, Eric’s experiences have taken him around the globe leading photography journeys, and utilizing his knowledge of nature and photography to enhance his clients’ experiences through focused and personalized instruction.

Today, Eric continues teaching photo workshops in the field and leading multi-day photographic adventures around the world. As an OM System Ambassador, OM System cameras and lenses have allowed Eric to photograph lighter, further, and longer in his travels. The intuitive nature of the gear provides the best tools for teaching travelers the techniques in visual storytelling, whether close to home or far afield.

Eric’s passion for photography and insights as a naturalist are invaluable to those who travel with him, revealing precise moments for the ultimate captures.  When not in the field Eric resides in Bozeman, Montana.
