Chanticleer Garden has many ponds with streams and small waterfalls. Its a great place to practice nature photography in a controlled environment (well, other than the weather). This Red-bellied Turtle poked its head up from the pond amidst a wonderful reflection of the surrounding grasses and flowers.

One of the many water features at Chanticleer had coy and tadpoles swimming about.

The Lotus Pond is full of lotus flowers with their huge leaves. I few blossoms were still visible, but most had already gone to seed offering the odd look of many ‘shower heads’ among the leaves.

Color is everywhere at Chanticleer Garden and it is difficult to leave as the light is ever changing bring new opportunity. However, there will be other days, different light and different seasons to enjoy!
