Southeast Arizona Birding Festival — August 7 – 11, 2024
A few members of the Wildside Nature Tours team take part in the Southeast Arizona Birding Festival each year to man our booth and lead a few field trips at the event.
Tucson, Arizona in August is hot… and the birding is hotter! Considered the desert’s second spring, the monsoon season brings rains that make the desert come to life with color, attracting more hummingbirds than any other time of year. Many specialty birds can be found in the region including Montezuma Quail, Arizona Woodpecker, Aztec Thrush, Crissal Thrasher and Elegant Trogon, just to name a handful!
