Bald Eagles are fun to watch as they choose their target and head into the water grab their prey. We had many opportunities to enjoy their stealthy approach!

Big talons… small meal. This is not always the case however, as we have seen many eagles grab meals much too large for them. We have actually seen them swim to shore with their catch in tow!

This eagle flew off to a nearby tree to down his meal as we motored off to do a little fishing of our own!

It didn’t take too long to start catchin’… Cynthia got a fine Quillback Rockfish… one of several for the morning.

Amanda joined in with one as well… they are very good to eat although there is not very much meat on them.

Russ came up with the largest fish of the trip… a 45 pound Halibut!

Looking into the eye of a Sculpin… a fish we did not eat, but it made a good study for macro photography!
