The annual Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Reunion will be held this Saturday, August 21, at Promised Land State Park in Pike County, PA. This is the 77th Anniversary of the establishment of the Civilian Conservation Corps camp S-139 at Promised Land State Park. Join them in a celebration of the efforts of former members of “Camp Pocono” as CCC boys from around the United States gather for a day of activities.
The general public is welcome to attend the afternoon programming at the Falls Pavilion and begins at 1:30 p.m. with a presentation by PA nature photographer Mike Gadomski. His multimedia program, Wild Pennsylvania, is filled with 400 images of Pennsylvania’s wildlife and scenery.
The morning program is for CCC members and their families only with registration beginning at 10 a.m. at the Falls Pavilion. Please look for your invitation in the mail or call or email the Park for more details. The formal program begins at 11 a.m. and runs till 1 p.m.
