For several days we have been hearing a Great Crested Flycatcher vocalizing in the backyard only to have it go silent after a few calls. This morning Deb found a pair bringing in food to a cavity in the neighbours maple tree.

Between the pair they came in 9 times over a 15 minute period with an assortment of insects that included bark beetles, tree cricket, lacewings, praying mantis, a dragonfly (above) and a Red Admiral (below) butterfly.
