The Kaufmans as you’ve never seen them…

I made the 8.5 hour drive safely to OH!. It is 12:22 AM as begin to type… I am going to bed as I want to be up for the dawn chorus at Magee Marsh. However, I wanted to offer a hint of the next post. The past 5 hours I spent at Mango Momma’s in Port Clinton, OH where the band 6-7-8-OH, featuring Kim Kaufman with lead vocals and Kenn Kaufman on Bass! Pat Sullivan played lead guitar, Bob Hille rythm guitar, Larry Fletcher on drums and the owner of the birder-friendly OurGuest Inn & Suites, Ron Miller, on guitar and keyboards.
Playing great rock n’ roll from the 60’s, 70’s — and yes, even the 80’s — 6-7-8-OH collected a $10 cover with all the proceeds to go toward the Ohio Young Birders Club’s education programs. They sounded great, and I think I got some good photos of them in action, but I am too blurry-eyed to tell. So I will leave you with one overall shot of the band until next time!

Can’t wait!! You birders are such a creative bunch…! JZ posted about “her” band performing at the West Virginia birding “thang” last week, too.
I was taking oldest to the doctors office for some undiagnosable pain a few weeks ago and picked up a copy of Audubon to read…. Voila! A Ken Kaufman piece! (I can’t say now that I don’t know who he is….!)
Have a great time!!!!!
